¶ Tools in VECTO GRID OS
There are various useful tools available in VGOS. The tools for each main tab can be accessed in the sub-tab named "tools". The tools covered on this page will be the useful tools for everyday tasks. Some of the tools available are only used in advanced custom cases and are not covered here in the wiki; for more information about these tools contact CTLAB support.

Targeted Downloads
Targeted Downloads is a tool which can be used to manually schedule data to be downloaded from an instrument into VGOS. If VGOS is self hosted sections of high resolution data download can be scheduled as an example or some extra diagnostic data during critical events if a block limit was reached. -
Targeted Exports
Targeted Exports are used to export data from the VGOS database into CSV or PQDIF. -
Digital IO Panel
On the Digital IO page you can read and toggle the Digital IO inputs and outputs. -
Timed Recording Tool
With the timed recording tool a timed recording can be scheduled which generates an event manually. -
Snapshot
The Snapshot tool is used to do bulk timed recordings to get a snapshot of the whole fleet at one moment.

Targeted Meter Data Delete
Remotely issue a data delete command on the instrument to delete data on the local disk on the Vecto instrument. -
Instrument Management Tools
Instrument Management tools. Simmilar to the manage tab in the HMI, where some device settings can be changed remotely. -
Single Line Diagrams
Upload .svg vector single line diagrams which can be used to mark measurement point locations. -
Firmware upgrades
This option is only available to superuser system administrators. -
Installed Firmware
This option is only available to superuser system administrators.
